Building a Companion Animal Veterinary Surveillance Network

We will be joined by Jennifer Granick, DVM, MS, PhD, DACVIM; Amanda Beaudoin, DVM, PhD, DACVPM; and Emma Bollig, MPH to discuss building the Companion Animal Veterinary Surveillance Network (CAVSNET) at the University of Minnesota. They will discuss:

• Data Foundations: An approach to aggregating data from diverse data sources
• Challenges: Standardization of data, communication with data providers, and making effective use of clinical terminology
• Applications: How CAVSNET can be used in research to understand and respond to disease dynamics
