Allen W Hahn Lifetime Achievement in Veterinary Informatics Award

The Association for Veterinary Informatics announced the institution of the Allen W Hahn Lifetime Achievement in Veterinary Informatics Award in 2019. This annual award was created to draw attention to those individuals who have been leaders and dedicated their career to the discipline of veterinary informatics and the ways in which it advances the practice of veterinary medicine. We named the award after Dr. Allen W. Hahn who during his career had a profound impact on the discipline of veterinary informatics and on subsequent generations through mentorship and encouragement. Those selected are recognized by AVI as having a profound impact, leadership, mentorship, and dedication in their career to veterinary informatics like those pioneers before them such as Dr. Hahn. We hope by recognizing those individuals, we will inspire the next generation to follow in these leaders’ footsteps and grow the field of veterinary informatics beyond where it is today.
